Now that the New iPad has been launched, rumor-mongers have to aim their sights at other consumer electronics giants. Digitimes issued a report stating that the Finnish giant, Nokia is looking to have an ARM-powered tablet running Windows 8 on the market in Q4. Details are relatively thick for the unannounced product. Word is, the tablet will be a 10-incher that packs a dual-core Qualcomm processor, likely the S4 that has been featured in so many products lately.

Nokia has already proven itself to be the market leader in Windows Phones. Though only a rumor for now, it seems likely that Nokia would attempt to translate its success in ARM-powered phones, to ARM-powered tablets. A smart combination of Nokia’s proven design chops, Redmond’s new OS, and the extra space a tablet affords could turn Nokia into a strong purveyor of PCs.
